Tenio Latev Hong Kong, March 8th 2013:
It is obvious that most financial firms incl. the banks make 90% thier money from turn over based fees on clients accounts. So thus they do not care about the clients performance.
The sneaky thing about those fees is that they seem to be very low, but what most people do not understand is that on top of that there is a so called spread in each and every financial instrument. The spread is a hidden fee which is also pocketed by the financial firms.
Once you understand this you will find out why value investing is so important and why picking the right investment vehicle is the biggest challange any investor faces.
The current financial system is designed to take money away from the avarage investor and to reallocate it to the pockets of the big investment firms. There is no way you will win against those people. Even if you think that you are thier client and they should protect you.
